Difficult decisions lie ahead. What choices are we going to make?
Getting old has certainly made me feel less courageous.
What is it that I’m so attached to, that it’s making me defend my ground so hard as if somebody’s trying to take it away?
We are always bound to move forward until we no longer can.
The older I get, the less risk I take. Why do you think that is? “Maybe because you believe you have so much to lose? But the fact is, if you’ve invested in yourself, you can regain what you lost. You can rebuild them, recreate them”.
There is something good about not knowing or having all the answers, even in what seems to be a petty thing. If we always do, then there would be no room for others to help, not even God.
We’re always trying to escape. Never content of where we are, never appreciative of the phase nor the season we’re in.
Sometimes you can take people with you only so far, and then you part ways, you pursue different things. Each of us is in pursuit of our own happiness and we should give that freedom to one another, even more, when we endeavor to create a sense of meaning into our very existence. I think beyond happiness, “meaning” is the utmost desire of our souls.
Oftentimes we do things reluctantly. It feels heavy because we’re resisting something emotionally or intellectually. But as heaven would have it, in turn, miracles happen, surprises pour down like rain, good things take place unexpectedly.
You see not all days are the same. And not every day do we feel great or at least conscious and willful enough to do the right thing even if we don’t feel like it.
